Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

ORF, the Austrian public broadcasting organisation, is to cut 250 jobs as part of a larger cost saving measure. These plans, which had been in place for a while, were announced by the ORF management.
In addition, the management announced plans for further cost cutting measures should there be a law change that will reduce subsidies to the ORF. In the case of implementation of this law, the ORF will have to save EUR 75 million in 2014. As a consequence, job cuts, which were originally scheduled to take place by the end of 2016, will have to be implemented sooner.
