Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The List Components & Furniture group has opened a new production site in Lower Austria and will thus increase its workforce there by 150 employees by the end of 2013.
The main task at the new production site in Edlitz-Thomasberg is the manufacturing of interior furniture for business and private jets. In 2013 alone, cabin components for about 100 planes are to be produced.
Production started in January and by the end of the year, 150 new employees will be hired. The List group currently employs 620 workers at two sites, of which 520 work in Edlitz and 100 in nearby Bad Erlach. The manufacturing of components and furniture for planes is the area with the most growth within the company, even though it is also strongly involved in the production of components for yachts.
