Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The Commercial Court of Le Mans confirmed the liquidation of Tendances Eco Habitat (190 employees). The company, which manufactured and installed solar panels, has been in insolvency since late January. Based in Le Mans (90 employees), the company had several agencies in the Western France. 116 employees will be immediately dismissed. Two subsidiaries - Tendances Eco-habitat SAS (38 employees) and Tendances Eco-habitat install (36 employees) are in liquidation but will keep their activities for two months, before the closure. 8 employees will work during this period and the 66 others are currently dismissed. Finally, 190 employees will lose their job.
