Description
On 20 January 2013 Prime Minister Boyko Borisov will open new plant for the repair of metrotrains where 150 new employees will be recruited.
BGN17 million are invested on project funded by the OP "Transport". The company was built on Czech model, using technology from Austria and meets all international standards. The plant consists of four halls, three of them with channels and tracks, equipped with jacks for lifting whole trains. The modern facility meets the growing needs of the Sofia subway, and the project also includes plans to extent the metro network.
The construction began in 2011 and was completed on 19 December 2012. The beneficiary of the project is Metropolitan PLC, the operator of the metro network owned by Sofia Municipality.
