Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 13 December 2012, Russian IT company Luxoft announced plans to open a centre in Wrocław and create 100 jobs by the end of 2013. The company is looking for software programmers who will create software solutions primarily for the finance industry.
The investment is supported by the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (Polska Agencja Informacji i Inwestycji Zagranicznych).
Luxoft is an offshore software development IT services company and part of the Russian IBS Group. Luxoft has offices in Germany, Russia, Romania, UK, USA, Ukraine and Vietnam and employs more than 5,600 people. Since 2010 the company operates a centre in Kraków where 240 people are employed.
