Description
As announced on November 23, 2012, French plastics manufacturer Plastic Omnium will discontinue its production in Eisenach (Thuringia). 200 employees are affected by this move, which is reported to be due to overcapacities in the European automotive section. In Eisenach, Plastic Omnium produces bumpers for vehicles.
The total workforce in Germany sums up to 1,400.
It is reported that the company announced talks with worker representatives.
