Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Gamesa has announced the reduction of its workforce by 324 employees.
The company has reached an agreement with the workers’ representatives, by which the number of dismissals was reduced from 480 to 324. The redundant employees will receive a compensation of 33 days per year worked. According to Gamesa’s business plan the wages of the remaining employees will be frozen until 2015.
Gamesa is a company specialized in the manufacture, sale and installation of wind turbines.
