The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 13 November 2012, Danske Bank, Denmark's largest bank, announced plans to move 300 administrative positions from Denmark to Lithuania. This move forms part of current cost saving efforts by the Bank which had previously announced its plans to cut 3,000 positions within the next three years.
