Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
IKEA, designer and retailer of household equipment, is to hire 200 employees as a new store opens in Borlänge. Management and other key positions will be recruited internally. The remaining positions will be publicly announced.
IKEA is a part of IKEA Group. IKEA Group, with INGKA Holding as parent company, is in turn owned by Stichting INGKA Foundation. IKEA Group operates 290 IKEA stores in 26 countries. The recruitment campaign has been launched and is meant to be finished by August 2013, when the facility is complete and the store will be installed.
