Description
Osram, a German lightbulb and LED lightning units producer, will reduce its headcount by 4,700 employees by 2014. The company will close factories worldwide to attain that goal. Osram is responding to changes in its market and is moving away from producing traditional lightbulbs.
Osram is part of the Siemens, a group itself going through a restructuring. Part of that reorganisation is a spin-off of Osram.
