On 16 November 2012, Infosys Poland, a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company, announced plans to recruit 300 new employees for the unit in Łódź by March 2013.
Infosys BPO is to expand its activities in Poland - since autumn 2012 the company has been operating in Łódź in a bigger office. Infosys has been operating in Poland since 2007 and the company currently employs 1,500 people.
Infosys is an Indian multinational provider of business consulting, technology, engineering, and outsourcing services. The company was founded in 2002 and currently has 13 branches employing about 19,000 people.
