Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 5 November 2012, the state-owned bank PKO BP (Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski) announced plans to create a contact center in Rzeszów and to create 150 jobs during the first phase of operation. Zbigniew Jagiełło, the chairman of the board, revealed the company is to increase employment to 250 jobs in the future.
The center is expected to be operational in spring 2013. The Customer Interaction Centre will employ consultants who will support bank customers via phone, e-mail or even video-chat.
PKO BP was founded in 1919. Currently the bank employs about 29,000 people across Poland.
