Description
Tipsport, a Czech bookmaker chain, has announced another 100 job cuts by the end of 2012 as a result of new taxation due to austerity measures.
The company has already closed 50 branches and dismissed 100 workers due to changes in the lottery law which requires bookmakers to pay an additional tax to the state.
Tipsport will take over competitor Chance as of 1st January 2013. Chance workers have expressed their worry that the next job cuts will affect them, although no further cuts have been confirmed yet.
