Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on October 29, 2012 German detergent producer Dalli will cut 98 jobs in Stolberg, North Rhine-Westfalia. This is due to increasing commodity prices.
In total, Dalli employs 620 people in Stolberg. Along with other sites, 245 out of 1500 employees will be made redundant, some of them could be in the Netherlands. However, Dalli did not specify which other locations in the group are affected. Job cuts shall be realized in 2013. Dalli aims to avoid forced redundancies.
