Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 25 October 2012, supplier of aerospace and defence technologies UTC Aerospace Systems opened a plant in Tajęcina near Rzeszów, where 100 jobs are being created. It is estimated that the number of employees at the plant will eventually reach 250.
The $70million factory will specialize in the production of landing gears. The unit is located in the Aeropolis Podkarpackie Science and Technology Park.
UTC Areospace Systems was formed in 2012 by combining two companies, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich. UTC Areospace has two factories in Poland located in Krosno and Rzeszów. The company is part of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), which employs about 10,000 people in units across Poland.
