European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 16 October 2012, hospital Kennemer Gasthuis announced it will cut 250 jobs in the foreseeable future.
According to statements the hospital intends to avoid forced dismissal, but these are not ruled out. The restructuring is due to a decrease in the number of patients, combined with budget cuts by the government. Negotiations with the unions on a social plan have been started.
