Description
On 28 September 2012, waste management group Van Gansewinkel announced its intentions to cut 300 jobs in the Netherlands, out of which 200 will be forced dismissals.
This is part of a large restructuring affecting 600 jobs in Europe (see Belgium case).
The reason for the restructuring is attributed to loss of profits due to the economic crisis. The unions have been critical of the planned job cuts.
