On 26 September 2012, Bank Gospodarki Żywnościowej (BGŻ) announced plans to implement a collective dismissals programme, which will result in the loss of 380 jobs by the end of June 2013.
The dismissals are part of the business strategy aiming at improving financial outcomes of the company. At this point in time, the bank is to negotiate the conditions of the restructuring with the local trade unions.
BGŻ was founded in 1975 and it employs 5,812 people in 400 branches across Poland.
