Description
Elopak, a Norwegian manufacturer of paper cartons for liquids, is restructuring its European manufacturing operations. Relocation of the Spreyer is planned to result in 90 to 100 job losses. Currently, the company employs 300 people. The German plant at Speyer shall following the restructuring focus on specialised products as well as on sales/marketing for the European market.
Mass production at Speyer will be shut down and relocated to Denmark and to the Netherlands where production costs are claimed to be lowered by Elopak.
