Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
French IT consulting company Capgemini announced that it will cut 340 jobs in the Netherlands, out of a total of 5,200. Some 200 employees will be dismissed, while other 140 jobs will be cut through arrangements of voluntary leave.
It is reported that background for the restructuring is falling profit margins, loss of government assignments and the increasing use of freelancers in the sector.
