Description
Mediq, international supplier of medical aids and pharmaceuticals, will cut 134 jobs in the Netherlands. The implementation of the cuts will start in early 2013. While the majority of the jobs will be cut at the head office in Utrecht, two distribution centres will also be affected by centralisation.
Background for job cutsĀ is the wish to cut costs in the face of a deteriorating economic climate and falling prices of pharmaceuticals in the Netherlands. Mediq has started negotiations with the works council and the unions on a social plan.
