Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In August 2012, Tabor Szynowy Opole announced plans to shut down its unit in Zielona Góra and cut all 279 jobs. The dismissals will be carried out in two stages: 150 jobs will be cut in August 2012, and the next 129 in September 2012.
The company has decided to close the unit as it is no longer profitable.
Tabor Szynowy Opole was founded in 1907. The unit in Zielona Góra was acquired by Tabor Szynowy Opole in 2003. The company offers a range of services from repairs of carriages to production and repairs of freight cars.
