European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
NH Hotels, a Spanish-based hotel chain, is to cut 382 jobs in Italy. At the end of July, the company has started the procedures for collective dismissal of 382 workers employed in the hotels located at Catania, Palermo, Sassari and Siena.
The trade unions reacted to the company's decision by going on strike.
NH Hotels has around 1400 employees in Italy.
