Car-INside, one of the BMW supplier companies in Hungary, has announced the dismissals of 162 employees. 142 employees will be laid off in Lenti, Zala county and 20 in Körmend and Jánosháza, Vas county.
The Hungarian managing director of Car-INside said some part of the company's operations will be relocated to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed hope to increase demand at the Hungarian units to avoid further dismissals.
The company currently employs 800 people in its three plants in Hungary.
UPDATE 24-08-2012: The company announced further dismissals. By the end of September 2012 the number of employees will decrease to 500. This implies that in total 300 people will be dismissed.
