Description
Lesna TIP, a producer of chipboards and construction furniture from Otiški Vrh in the Koroška region, entered into the procedure of compulsory settlement, followed by the dismissal of 118 people by the end of 2012.
The company plans to close the unit for the production of construction furniture and to concentrate on the production of a more refined type of chipboards. The main reason for the elimination of the construction furniture production is the crisis in the Slovenian construction sector.
Currently Lesna TIP employs 173 people in Otiški Vrh. After the reductions total employment numbers will be limited to 55 people.
