Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
As announced on April 27, 2012, German automotive company Daimler will create 200 new jobs in Rastatt (Baden-Württemberg) as a part of the company's business expansion plans.
In total, Daimler aims to increase the workforce in Rastatt by 500. The remaining 300 jobs will be created by taking on temporary agency workers as permanent staff. Additionally, apprenticeship positions will be increased to 60 each year. Overall, Daimler's Rastatt site currently employs more than 6,100 people.
