Description

A Danish supplier of parallel imported pharmaceuticals and generic drugs moves the production activities from Denmark and Germany to the Czech Republic, which results in 160 jobs being lost in Odense, Denmark.

The decision was announced to the employees on 22 February 2012 by the Orifarm CEO. The decision was motivated by the failing revenues of the company and lower wages in the Czech Republic, where Orifarm already has a plant (see related factsheet).

The offshoring will take place in several phases over the next two years.
