On 16 April 2012, Canadian manufacturer of transportation equipment Bombardier Transportation (ZWUS) announced plans to increase its workforce by 10% (50-60 engineers are to be hired) at the plant in Katowice, Poland. The decision is due to the company's plans to increase production.
Sławomir Nalewajka, the president of Bombardier in Poland, revealed that the company plans to enter the markets in all CEE countries. Today the facility in Katowice employs 487 people and the number is expected to further increase.
