European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In April 2012 CSC announced that 450 employees in the Scandinavian region were to be made redundant. On 3rd May it was further announced that 350 of those redundancies will be affect the workforce in Denmark.
After consultations with the employees 175 jobs are to be cut by natural wastage and 175 by direct dismissals. It is reported that many of the dismissed employees have already found new jobs, as they are seen as very desired workforce by other companies in the IT business.
The restructuring plan is to be completed within a few months.
