The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In April 2012, Nordea Bank announced plans to cut up to 400 jobs in Poland in 2012. The dismissals are part of the business strategy for 2012-2015. Nordea also plans to change the employment conditions of part of their staff.
The company is to negotiate the conditions of the restructuring programme with the local trade unions and the employee's council. The restructuring process is planned to be completed by the end of 2012.
The company is also to shut down about 60 branches across Poland and develop online banking services instead.
