Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 18 May 2012, Aerolia, a manufacturer of aero structures and nose fuselage subassemblies, has announced plans to recruit 200 employees in 2012. 30% of them will be recruited for the plant of Saint-Nazaire, which is expected to reach 710 employees within the next 3 years.
Aerolia, a subsidiary of EADS, announced investments plans for the next five years, aimed at modernizing its site and increasing the high value production. The production of smaller items is to be transferred to the company's plant in Tunisia.
