The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
T- Systems Slovakia will create 250 new jobs in Kosice by the end of 2012. Since 2006, when Deutsche Telekom established its subsidiary there, the company has continuously expanded its business and it now employs 2,300 employees.
According to the media reports, T-Systems has chosen Slovakia for its skilled workers in the region and the lower labour costs. The wages offered by the company to its employees are higher than average wages in the sector. It employs workers from 15 countries, including Slovaks, Hungarian, Polish and Germans, but also the people from the UK, India or Malaysia.
