Description
Wincor Nixdorf, a leading provider of IT-solutions to retailers and retail banking, announced a global restructuring programme which will involve the cutting of about 250 posts in Germany and of a total of 500 jobs in Europe by the end of 2013. Most of the research and development jobs shall be delocated to Asia.
Wincor currently employs a German staff of 4,000, a European staff of 6,500 and a global staff of 9,200. The company plans to streamline the organisational structure by merging national divisions to regional divisions, by merging administrative operations and by delocating operations to the emerging economies.
