Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
British multinational pharmaceutical company Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) is about to cut 45 jobs at its plant in Wavre. The company has announced the restructuring to its works council and the Renault procedure has been launched. As of March 2012, there is no indication of when the restructuring will take place.
The internal restructuring will take place at one pharmaceutical department which employs 350.
