Description
French insurance group Aréas Assurances plans to cut 119 jobs (including 79 lay-offs) with the closure of three of its six regional branches. The management and the trade unions have so far not reached an agreement on departure conditions for the affected employees. According to the management the demands for compensation are too high.
The high court already suspended a previous job cut scheme at Aréas Assurances in November 2011. Unions plan to request another suspension for the current plan.
