Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
Cofely, a French company specialized in local and renewable energy solutions, is to cut 109 jobs at its Italian branch. The job cuts are reported to affect mainly the site located in Milan. The sectoral trade unions criticized the company's decision announcing some protest actions.
Cofely has around 2,400 workers in 50 branches throughout Italy.
