Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The electronic components manufacturer ZA-CO plans to cut 282 jobs in Komarom (Hungary). ZA-CO has notified the labour authority about this collective redundancy. The company also employs temporary agency workers, but no information about their dismissal it available. To date, there is no information on the timeline of the job cuts.
Some 200 redundant workers are Slovakian citizens, who commute to work from Slovakia.
