Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On February 26th, manufacturer of helicopters and aviation parts PZL Świdnika announced plans to hire 250 people in 2012. Nicola Bianco, director of the company, revealed that planned growth of employment is a result of a new contract which was signed with the Ministry of National Defence (MON, MInisterstwo Obrony Narodowej). The company is to produce 5 helicopters and modernize another 14 for MON. The contract is worth 380 mln PLN. The company wants to employ engineers and managers.
PZL-ŚWIDNIK SA was established in 1951. Since January 2010 the AgustaWestland company is the major shareholder of PZL-Świdnik.
