Portuguese state owned broadcaster RTP is to terminate between 250 and 300 contracts. According to earlier press reports, the job cuts will be implemented through voluntary departures. The management explained that this restructuring is due to the need to reduce costs and increase efficiency. No information on the timeline of the redundancies is available.
