Description
Wind turbine manufacturer Enercon will create between 150 and 200 jobs in Zurndorf (Burgenland). The company is currently building a new production site. The plant will be completed in 2012 and the production site will commence its operations already in 2012.
The German company plans to build about 200 towers for wind power plants annually, thus making the capacity expansion necessary. The wind towers are then to be set up not only in Austria, but also in Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Poland and Southern Germany.
The investment costs for this expansion are about EUR 40 million.
