Description
Japanese domestic appliance manufacturer Panasonic has announced that it is moving 164 jobs from Newport to Vietnam by the end of September. The company produces telecommunications equipment in Newport. The company blamed weak demand and an increasingly competitive market for the move.
Newport will remain the company's European customer support center retaining 90 employees.
