Description
The Swedish and Danish postal service company Post Nord will cut 2,400 jobs during 2012. Some of the job cuts will be implemented through natural attrition.
The cuts are part of a new strategic program since letter volume continues to fall. Additionally, it is reported that the restructuring is part of a strategy designed to make the company ready for entering the stock-market.
Of the 40,000 employees, 25,000 are employed in Sweden. It is believed that the job reduction will be equally distributed between both countries.
