Description
Derbyshire County Council, East Midlands, has announced plans to cut between 500 and 600 jobs over the next 12 months in a bid to make 25m savings. The cuts will affect mainly administrative staff, such as office staff, as well as the middle and senior management.
These cuts are part of a four-year plan of the Conservative-run council to counteract a drop in central government grants.
