Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
In January 2012 the operator of the A4 motorway has started to recruit 200 people, who will work as cashiers at the four toll points on the Wrocław-Katowice highway (the Lower and Upper Silesia). The company is looking for at least graduates from vocational schools. The recruitment is planned to take place in two stages: the test of basic arithmetic skills and training for people who are to be hired. The toll points are expected to be operational in June 2012.
