Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
The management of the French car manufacturer Renault has announced to recruit between 400 and 500 employees in 2012. The plant in Cléon (Haute-Normandie) will make face to the success of the new motor R9M and is expected to establish 2x8 shift, plus a night shift. The production will increase from 150,000 motors in 2011 to nearly 300,000 R9M motors in 2013.
The new motors are reported to reduce fuel consumption and pollution.
