Description
On 17 November 2011 Gasunie, a European gas infrastructure company, announced it will cut between 100 and 150 jobs in the coming three years. The exact timeline of the restructuring programme is not yet known.
Background is a ruling by the Dutch competition authority (NMA) that Gasunie has charged excessive prices to its customers in the period 2006-2009. Gasunie will have to pay back around 400 million euros. The restructuring measure is meant to result in cost savings of 60 million euros.
Gasunie maintains high pressure gas pipeline networks in the Netherlands and northern Germany.
