Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 8 December the engineering group Ingéliance has announced to recruit 150 employees (mostly engineers) for its different sites in France by 2012. Jobs will be created for designers, production workers and design engineers. According to the company, finding suitable staff will be a difficult undertaking.
Ingéliance has recently acquired Bigorre Engineering, an SME which is specialized in automatized railway transport signaling amongst others, which employs 20 employees. Ingéliance has currently about 380 employees.
