Description
Orrefors Kosta Boda, a glassworks group, is to reduce their workforce by 115 employees. The internal restructuring process will primarily affect blue-collar workers within glassworks in Orrefors, Kosta and Åfors (Sweden). The restructuring will be completed in mid-2012. The internal restructuring process is due to currency fluctuations as well as recession and decreased sales in the company's two key-markets the US and Greece.
Negotiations with the unions about the suggested redundancies are about to start.
Orrefors Kosta Boda is Scandinavia's largest glassworks group and is a subsidiary of the larger group New Wave.
