Description
?D Cargo, a Czech freight rail carrier, is to make over 100 employees redundant by the end of 2011. The job cuts both affect the headquarter of the company and operations.
As reasons for the cuts is given the need to adapt the economic situation of the firm to the global business prospects in 2012. Currently, the company employs roughly 9,200 people.
?D Cargo has cut many jobs since the beginning of the economic crisis. 350 jobs were cut in 2010 (see factsheet 15132) and about 1500 jobs in 2009 (see factsheets 14588 and 11351).
