European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tata Steel has announced plans to mothball part of production at its Llanwern plan resulting in the loss of 115 jobs. The cuts are blamed on falling UK steel demand.The cuts will affect fixed-term and agency workers, as well as contractors. The unions will collaborate with the company in order to avoid any compulsory redundancies.
